Until recently, a replica section of the main water tunnel from Loch Treig stood over the cutting in the foreground of this view. A photograph taken during the construction of the works in Patrick Howat's "The Puggy Line" shows a J37 locomotive posed in the tunnel profile. Now only the strip of hardcore on the side of the cutting marks the spot.
